The “Ammunition Box” is removed from the world.
The ammunition count of his shotgun has increased with x shells.

Inventory:
In Viral Outbreak we are aiming to keep the inventory system small and functional. The player has in Viral Outbreak the ability to hold one Primary weapon (1), one Secondary weapon (2) and one Melee weapon (3). That is a maximum of 3 weapons per player. Your Primary weapon will be your main gun. Your Secondary weapon can be a simple side arm, like a pistol. But it can also be a special weapon, like a “Pipe bomb” or a “Molotov cocktail”. Your melee weapon can range from an axe to a butter knife, you should only use this weapon when your primary and your secondary weapons are depleted. You can scroll trough your weapons by using the middle mouse button. Or pressing the corresponding numeric keys on your keyboard.
Besides the 3 weapon slot Viral Outbreak also has one medical slot (4). The player can store his/her medical items there for use further in the game. “Aspirin bottles” can be stacked to a maximum of 3, while “Bandage boxes” can not be stacked at all. The player uses his “Medical item” by selecting it with his middle mouse button or pressing the corresponding numeric key (4) on his/her keyboard.
For “Barricading items” Viral Outbreak has reserved another slot (5). In this slot all barricading board will be stacked to a maximum of 3.
HUD:
Since Viral Outbreak aims for realism we decided to keep the HUD minimal. The HUD will only tell what weapon you are currently holding and the amount of clips left for that weapon, when wielding a melee weapon there will be nothing displayed except the melee weapon you are currently holding.
Because there is no health meter on your HUD you have to depend on sounds and effects that indicate your health level.
100 health: Player “HUD effects” are 100%
50 health: The players screen fades to dark red near the edges. The player hears breathing and a heart beat. (After 10 seconds the “HUD effects” returns to normal)
30 health: The player view is blurry around the edges. The player hears a high frequency “peep” as if a grenade exploded next to him. His moving speed is 75% (After 10 seconds the “HUD effects” returns to normal)
15 health: The player view has become totally blurred. He is practically deaf, he only hears loud sounds like “screaming infected”, gunshots and explosions. (After 10 seconds the “HUD effects” returns to normal)
