Information on Moderators, what they do and how to become one.

The role of Moderators

In general, moderators ensure each section runs smoothly. The individual tasks may include:

Appealing unfair assessments;
Removing frivilous appeals;
Changing ownership of submissions;
Fixing errors in submissions, such as HTML or spelling mistakes;
Trashing illegal or copyright infringing submissions if CSA is incapable of doing it;
Awarding exemplary feedback;
Withholding or trashing poor feedback, abusive posts or any posts lacking effort;
Adding or recommending critics.

Becoming a Mod

Enjoy FPSB? Like helping others? Wish to help out around FPSB in your free time/leisure? To become a section mod on FPSBanana you must fulfill the following requirements:

Be a member of the site for more than 6 months;
Be a mature, respected member with no history of disciplinary measures taken against you by other mods or admins;
Have no ongoing personal disputes with other members or mods;
Be at least 16 years of age;
Have indepth knowledge of the technical processes involved in the creation of the submissions being submitted to the respective section, through evidence of submissions of your own;
Be positive and supportive of FPSBanana.

Application Guidelines

You should include the following in your application:

Name;
Age;
Section in which you wish to be a moderator;
Qualifications (why do you think you're good for the section);
Personal Pros and Cons;
Specific examples (if any) of you displaying moderator qualities.

Be a mature, respected member with no history of disciplinary measures taken against you by other mods or admins; I had a quite serious disciplinary measure done to me, as possibly all of the mods/admins know, but it happened nearly 8 months ago. Would it hurt my chances of becoming a mod soon, and if it will, will I ever get the opportunity to become a mod ever?

Age doesn't matter, it's maturity. I think one of the mods is 15.

What's the eligible age to submit applications? Because under Botch's page it says: Age is a hopeful, not a requirement. If you're not 18, but display maturity we're comfortable with then we consider that sufficient. A lot of our Moderators are not 18 years old, so do not be discouraged by that rule.

I'm guessing we use the moderation request section in the admin report?
