x 0 When I was brought home from the hospital on the day I was born, it snowed long and hard. Today, I was greeted by snow again when I awoke. I look back, and realize, that those who envy youth do not put much into the length of a year. So much changes, so many things move, and the world shifts in a different way. It's this maddening, never ending process that works to fray and unwind the fibers that keep us close to each other. We drift farther apart from each other and the places we have great affection, every second, of every minute, right on to days, weeks, and years. This causes me great sorrow, to know that as time marches on, I must part ways with my friends, with my family, and with the passions of which I take to with such zeal. They will be missed. I've lost so much over the past year, and gained so very little. Such are the ways of the world, where the proverbial scales shall never be tipped into your favor, however hard you believe.
