Freelancer is a space sim/rpg. featuring a singleplayer story and an open multiplayer mode where you fly around space being a mercenarie for hire doing various jobs and such to earn money for ships and weapons. the multiplayer capabilities is greatly improved by adding on a community mod that allows the player to fly capital and cruiser class ships. as well as adding many new solar systems.

this game was revolutionary in its time and still quite fun to play. however the graphics are beginning to look a little dated but its a solid game none the less.
